Biography

Mia earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio and Television from Sam Houston State University. She also earned a General Business Minor. At SHSU, she was an Honor Society member and an Eubie Award winner.

Mia began her career in television as a production assistant for Houston�s ABC affiliate, KTRK-TV. She then moved on to KAVU-TV and KVCT-TV in Victoria, where she was a field reporter and weekend anchor. Mia came to WB39 News from KBMT-TV in Beaumont, where she hosted and produced an hour-long morning news magazine show, Good Morning Southeast Texas.
